Registered Provisional Psychologist; Registered Canadian Art Therapist ( RCAT)

 Registered Provisional Psychologist (CAP), currently completing requirements for registration.  Member, Canadian Art Therapy Association; adheres to CATA professional ethical standards, as well as those of the Canadian Psychological Association. Also a member of the American Art Therapy Association.  Familiar with DSM-V criteria.   Over eight years experience providing counselling and art therapy to children and adults.  Previously worked in school settings in concert with the administrative team, resource and classroom teachers, and parents to design and implement the most effective therapy for child clients, tailored to individual needs.  Ability to be flexible and adaptive: anticipates potential challenges and prepares ahead to insure the success of a project or treatment plan. Able to work successfully in various spaces provided as the therapy room.

Arts Integrated Learning Educator

Worked in schools as an arts integrated educator (artist in residence).  Collaborated with classroom teachers to plan and institute art projects that supported and informed curriculum topics, and contributed to the emotional development and skill level of the students.  Supervised and trained volunteers as well as mentoring/ training beginning instructors.  Successfully managed projects to completion within scheduled time and allotted budget.

Accomplished Public Speaker 

Jhan regularly plans and presents professional development workshops for teachers and therapists at national conferences and in local settings.
